This factory was set up in 1964
and its actual production
started in 1965. Its production
has remarkably developed during
the last years and this
development took place in all
aspects, including the produced
items, productivity, lines, and
machines. This was achieved
through the relations
established by the Company with
international companies in this
field. Currently, the factory
enjoys an outstanding position
in the local market. Its
productivity at present amounts
to 9000 tons per year.
It hires 45 employees. To
achieve its objectives, the
factory uses the most famous
production lines in the world,
such as:
MAZZONI and MECCANICHE modern. The factory

From the very beginning, after
it was set up, this factory
exerted strenuous efforts to
develop its potentials and
experiences; it has always
adopted adequate methods of
research and development for the
purpose of satisfying the needs
of the markets and to so as to
raise its competitive abilities
- a fact that made the factory
occupy a leading position in the
markets.
The productivity of this factory
is 7200 tons per year. To reach
this limit, I9 workers and
technicians operate production
lines and machines bought from
reputable international
companies such as J. KUGLER,
NEWMAN, and THOMASON to
manufacture the following

PASTE AND COSMETIC FACTORY: |

This factory was set up in 1964.
It has spared no effort since
then to be in line with all
innovations in the field of its
line of production. It imported
and utilized new technology and
this was reflected in the high
quality of the products of the
factory and their competitive
prices, a fact that made such
products occupy the leading role
in the markets. Its productivity
amounts to 1700 tons per year.
It hires 16 workers. The factory
uses production lines and
machines manufactured by
international companies such as:
NORDEN and UNIVERSAL, which
enable the factory to
manufacture various kinds of
aluminum and Laminate tube used
for the production of the

BISCUITS FACTORY: |

This factory was set up in 1961.
There was one production line
which was bought form Werner
Company of Germany. Its
productivity was 400 kgs per
hour. It produced the marks of
MARIE and PETIT BEURRE besides
the biscuits stuffed with cream.
The factory has been gradually
developed and now it produces a
wide range of products. Its
productivity is 900 tons per
year. It employs 21 workers who
operate machines from
international companies, such
as: Werner & Pfleiderer, FMC,
and Simon Vicars Bosch and
Aucouturier. Among the different
kinds of marks produced by the

PLASTIC FACTORY: |

This factory was set up in 1995
to supply companies with plastic
containers, packs, packages and
lids. It has immensely developed
since the year 2000, and at
present it satisfies all the
needs of the local market as
well as the orders of the
company. Its productivity is
about 734 tons per year. It
employs 9 workers who operate
production lines and machines
from international companies,
such as: Battenfeld and Kamman.
These lines can produce plastic
containers up to (5 liters), 700
ml packages, as well as covers
and silk printing on the round
packages. |

PRINTING PRESS: |
| |
The printing house was set up in
1981. It was intended for
providing Intaj Company with all
containers and packages needed
for the Company’s different
factories. The printing house
has been developed to carry out
commercial works and activities;
at present, it prints all kinds
of packages and cartons for the
local market. Its productivity
amounts to 140 x … pack per
year. It employs 24 workers and
professional technicians who
operate the most up-to-date
machines from international
companies, such as: Man Rolland
Germany and Bobst of
Switzerland. |

FACTORIES OF SULPHOCHEMICAL AND
DETERGENT INDUSTRIES CO. LTD: |

A. |
SULPHOCHEMICAL FACTORY: |
| |
This factory was designed and
developed by Ballestra S.P.A of
Italy in 1992. It initiated its
operation by producing sulphonic
acid, besides all kinds of
sodium laurel ether sulphate,
which is an ingredient needed
for manufacturing detergents and
cosmetics. In the year 1993, the
factory’s productivity amounted
to 3 tons per hour, getting the
factory to be one of the biggest
factories of sulfochemicals in
the Middle East.
To offer high quality products
that are in conformity with the
international specifications,
the sulphochemical factory has
been designed according to the
latest technologi-cal
developments, such as
sulphonation by way of reaction
on thin surface, and electronic
control system (PLC). The
factory has been designed
according to the best
environment preservation
systems; it adopting (ESP)
system to separate the gases
that are harmful to the
environment.
The sulphochemical factory has
huge reservoirs to contain
(12,000) tons of liquids of raw
materials and final products in
tanks prepared especially for
this purpose. The factory
employs a cadre of employees who
are qualified and trained
according to related
technological standards. There
is a special department intended
for laboratories and quality
control; this department is
provided with qualified
technicians and up-to-date and
advanced sets and instruments
that help control the quality of
raw materials and the finally
manufactured products. The
factory was awarded the “ISO
9002”, good quality mark, in
1997. |

DETERGENT FACTORY: |

This factory was designed and
equipped by the same company
which designed the sulfochemical
factory in 1992. The actual
production in the detergents
factory started in 1993. Its
productivity amounts to 4 tons
per hour, and this quantity can
be raised to be 8 tons per hour.
The factory produces all
formulas and sizes of high and
low foam washing detergents by
using filling machines that are
considered to be of the best
kinds available on the markets
of the world. Annexed to the
factory is a melting unit for
the treatment of sodium silicate
by heat and pressure system. Its
productivity is 3 tons per hour.
The detergents factory also
includes huge reservoirs to
store raw materials and
manufactured materials with a
capacity of (10,000 m3). The
factory also has a large fleet
of transport and distribution
vehicles. It is worth saying
that the factory has been
awarded the quality mark “ISO
9002” due to the fact that it
applies the most up-to-date
systems of quality control. |
